Crisis counselors are available by 24 hours a day to help if one of your employees or employee family members is suicidal or in crisis. One phone call and help is on the line to simply listen until the crisis has passed or to initiate immediate life-saving services.

Online Work/Life
Includes unlimited access to a customized web site with searchable databases and educational materials.  This comprehensive website provides educational content as well as searchable databases for employee’s use.  Topics covered include, child and elder care resources, adoption, schools, colleges, wellness information, pet care, consumer issues, legal & financial planning, travel & recreation, financial calculators, and health & well-being resources.

Telephonic Work/Life
Trained professionals are available 24/7 to talk with you about work life issues and provide you with immediate assistance and referrals. Topics covered include, child and elder care resources, adoption, schools, colleges, wellness information, pet care, consumer issues, legal & financial planning, travel & recreation, financial calculators, and health & well-being resources.

Enhanced Legal/Financial Service Package
The purpose of this program is to provide eligible family members with legal and financial service discounts as well as appropriate referrals to attorneys and financial professionals in their area when need arises. Users will be provided with the name, address and telephone number of a legal or financial firm located nearest them in addition to being eligible for ongoing services at a 25% discounted fee.

On-site Critical Incident Stress Debriefing
How you help your employees cope during times of tragedy plays a big role in the health of your work environment. Far West can provide onsite Crisis Support and Debriefing services to assist you in planning for and coping with tragedies that impact you and your employees. Helping employees understand and work through their grief in a healthy way will help ensure a stable and productive workforce.

Drug Free Workplace Program Support
Far West Family Services EAP counselors are trained to help you maintain your drug-free workplace policies. We can work with employees who self-refer for assistance or those who are required to seek help to avoid disciplinary action as a result of poor performance, a workplace accident, or a positive drug test. Far West can also help you develop your drug-free workplace policy if you do not already have one in effect.

Management/Administrator Consultation
Managers carry a lot of responsibility on their shoulders. Our EAP services will enable you to take of your counselor hat and focus on the job that your business is set up to perform. If you have an employee that is struggling or crying in your office, we believe it is too much for you to have to determine if they are safe or if they may be at risk of harming themselves or another person. We have counselors that can help you make that assessment 24-hours a day. Additionally, we can help you work with emotionally fragile employees in a way that allows them to be their most productive and allows you more time to focus on managing your business.

Far West has an extensive computerized referral database to ensure that your employees and their family members get the full breadth of services that they need.

Employer Referrals
If you have an employee that is behaving in inappropriate ways in the workplace or is having performance problems that may be related to personal difficulties, utilizing EAP services can help. By requiring seriously troubled employees for treatment prior to terminating their employment you may be able to help them become productive again. This saves your company the time and expense of training a new employee as well as reducing the risk of a costly lawsuit. The Far West counselor, with the signed consent of the employee, will keep the company informed regarding treatment participation, compliance, and progress.

Concierge Services
This service allows employers to offer an additional perk that will help recruit and retain top employees in a competitive market. It also increases employee productivity by providing services that might otherwise take an employee’s time and energy away from work. Services provided include everything from home repair referrals, to vacation planning, to dry cleaning services, movie rentals, and more.

Marketing Assistance
Far West staff encourages utilization by your employees. We will assist you with marketing your EAP program. This is done by providing a quarterly mental health newsletter, special topic information sheets (i.e. Stress, burn-out, parenting, etc), update topics on the Web, and free onsite EAP briefings or orientations.

Specialized Training Presentations
To ensure that we are meeting your needs, we will also present special training events, tailored to the issues facing your workforce. These special training events can be on the mental health topic of your choice and can be customized to the amount of time and personality of your staff. These are provided on a fee for service basis dependent upon specific service provided.
